Design, the Law, and You.
lightning / Daniel Orbach
As design services begin to penetrate more complex industries than every before, the need to design with regulators has never been higher. In this lightning talk, I’ll lay out some strategies for designing a product embroiled in complicated legal requirements. Longer Description:Design and Law are often placed at opposite ends of the product development spectrum. This creates a natural tension where designers try to simplify an experience while regulators try to ensure an experience is thorough enough to not be exploited. This talk will focus on some tips to alleviate common roadblocks designers might encounter working with legal and regulatory professionals.
Daniel brings an affinity for math and science to his process as designer. He takes a systemic, strategic approach to solving digital design problems, and the variety of projects he worked on before joining Moment – from warehouse optimization to homes of the future – illustrate the adaptability of his techniques. At Moment, he has led workshops in tech education and designed product and tools used in retail banking.
