Parrish Hanna is Global Director of Interaction & Ergonomics (including Human-Machine Interface) at Ford Motor Company. He and his team guide the design and development of Interactive Experiences for all Ford and Lincoln vehicles. They like to say that they design the interaction of everything that a human touches and/or interacts within the inside and outside (and sometimes around, via mobile) of the vehicle. This includes all vehicles in the Ford and Lincoln portfolios – from the Fiesta, Focus, Fusion and Explorer to the F150, Transit vans and the new Lincoln Continental and Ford GT. Through the synthesis of emerging technologies, deep consumer understanding, and thoughtful physical and digital design, they ensure that consumer interaction with Ford and Lincoln vehicles is easy, clear in use, smart, meaningful and safe. Prior to joining Ford, Parrish held the position of Global Director of Design Strategy and Research at Motorola Mobility. His Experience Planning team led the definition and conceptual development of Motorola’s next-gen portfolio of products and services. Earlier in his career, Parrish served as a Global Design Advisor to Samsung, building and managing Experience Planning teams within the Advertising and Marketing space and co-founding and managing the industry’s first user experience firm, HannaHodge.
